The weekend went by SO fast, again. I hope you all had a really marvelous weekend and are ready to tackle another week! It’s Monday so that means it’s time again to link up with Katie for some Marvelous in my Monday. I always love this. ❤
Well Friday was Valentine’s Day, which Scott and I don’t celebrate, so we didn’t do anything special. Which was totally fine by me.
Reading and watching Tosh.0 on Valentine’s Day. We’re total romantics.
I got a Saturday morning wake-up from these two cute smushies.
Saturday morning run, which I didn’t know would happen, but ended up going for 6 miles 🙂
Reading Runners World while I run is absolutely the best. Distraction + motivation = time flies & longer runs.
After spending about 6.5 hours with Scott at his mom’s house working on repairing all the leaks in the pipes and several runs to multiple hardware stores, sitting my toosh down on the couch with a glass of wine while watching TV and snuggling with these smushies is all I wanted to do. Relaxing.
Sunday morning snuggling in bed reading and catching up on blogs.
My parents came over to play with the kitties. This is the SECOND time they’ve seen Meeko since I got her. Way, way too few of times. This was the first time they really saw them interact together. My parents are awesome grandparents to these little boogers. 🙂 Plus, they have a kitty of their own so they totally share my obsession/love of these guys.
Make-up-less and sweaty, but I’m still smiling anyway. 😛 I knocked out a five-miler while reading my favorite magazine to read while running. (Runners’ World)
After running, and running around to go grocery shopping, I was wiped out. This weekend my stomach has been particularly unhappy and I’ve felt pretty ‘meh’ the whole weekend physically. I decided to just lay down in bed for a bit before getting ready for church. Dexter quickly came to join me and he fell asleep. I slowly let the clock tick away, got up to get dressed, and decided I still wasn’t feeling all that hot, so I’d just curl back in bed with Dexter for a while. Mid-day napping/laying down never happens. I didn’t sleep, but it still felt nice.
Just a little something-something for one of my best friends. She’s had a heck of a lot on her plate lately and I thought I’d give her a little pick-me-up. Chocolate and peanut butter, because there is no better pairing in the world to combat a bad day. Oreos, because, duh they’re Oreos and I know she loves them. The card, because she’s got a great sense of humor. The orchids, because they last a long LONG time and will consistently add a little color to any sad days she has. She is such a great friend and has been there with me through so much, and I will never forget that. True blue.
I got the chance to give my friend her gift and we watched Up! together. Such a cute movie. I loved it. I’m a big kid at heart. What a perfect end to the weekend. I hope you all had a great weekend, too!
Happy Monday! Make it marvelous!
